2nd Squad consists of SSG Illingworth as squad leader and SGTs Sansoucy, Harris and Longood as team leaders. Soldiers in the squad are SPC Pinkul, SPC Beezup, PFC Brown, PFC Badgett, PFC Jones and PFC Woods.

During the month of February, 2nd squad continued conducting missions, both on the base in the form of tower duty and off the base with humanitarian aid missions for the people of Afghanistan. Luckily with the snow fall came a much enjoyed quiet period of action from the insurgents here in Logar. It's obvious they dislike the heavy snow as much as we do sometimes. Good news though is that we are less than a couple of months away from being home. Most of our replacements should start coming in very soon and our time out on patrols will slowly begin to be minimal as they start to assume the responsibilities for the area. Everyone is doing good, although we get on each other's nerves a bit at times, guess that's what happens when you live in a confined space together for 15 months. Despite the changes, everyone stays up beat about everything, looking at the bright side in that we go home soon. This has also beena goof month with the promotion of SPC Beezup to Sergeant and PFC Jones to Specialist. Could not be any prouder of the way my Soldiers have performed and every single one is very worthy of all the recognition they receive. In closing, we just want to thank everyone again for all the support, it is what has gotten us through these tough times..
