Welcome to the 508th Military Police Platoon's FRG Site!

The 508th Military Platoon was officially constituted on 1 July 2006 as part of the 4th Brigade Combat Team (508th Parachute Infabtry Regiment), 82nd Airborne Division and assigned to Higher Headquarters Company (HHC) 4th Brigade Special Trrops Battalion.
 
The 508th MP Platoon was formerly 4th platoon, 82nd Military Police Company prior to it's disbandment under the Force Modularity Porgram.
 
The platoon's mission is to  train for and executes five principle military police battlefield missions, law enforcement support for the Division Provost Marshal, and worldwide contingency operations.  Our primary training focus is centered around the Battalion's Mission Essential Tasks List (METL) where units concentrate on Deploying to Areas of Operation (Air, Rail, or Sea) to conduct Maneuver and Mobility Support, Area Security, Internment and Resettlement Support, Law and Order Operations, Police Intelligence Operations and Sustain Battalion Operations in direct support of the brigades mission.
 
Currently, the platoon is deployed to Logar Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom VIII.
